A Hidden Story

Did you know that the names of the children of Israel in Revelation chapter 7 are not in order of age (as genealogies and Bible name lists generally are)? Do you know why? Its because here, the meaning of each name combines to tell a story.

Here’s the passage:

“And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.”‭‭Revelation‬ ‭7:4-8‬ ‭

Here’s the hidden message, based on the name meanings of each tribe of Israel:

(Judah) Praise the Lord.

(Reuben) Behold the son.

(Gad) Good fortune and

(Asher) Happiness and blessings!

(Napthali) My wrestling has

(Manessah) made me forget my sorrow.

(Simeon) God hears me,

(Levi) has joined me,

 (Issachar) rewarded me,

(Zebulon) exalted me [by]

(Joseph) adding to me

(Benjamin) the Son of His right hand.

See, the Old Testament has always preached the gospel…always. It is my belief that the 144,000 will preach this exact message. We’ll see. 😁

By the way, this also happens with the geneology in Genesis 5. Can you find what it says with the name meanings of the lineage between Adam and Noah? Try it and see! I’ll post it later. 🧐
